You Are Not What You Feel Right Now

Some days, your thoughts feel heavier than usual.

You question yourself more.
You feel a little off, a little unsure.
Maybe even a little stuck.

And if you’re not careful, those feelings can slowly start to define you.

You begin to believe things like:
“I’m just anxious.”
“I’m not doing enough.”
“I’m falling behind.”

But those thoughts—no matter how loud they feel—are not your identity.

They are passing through.
They are not who you are.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” – Isaiah 26:3

Peace doesn’t come from having perfect thoughts.
It comes from where your mind rests.

And when your mind is constantly pulled toward fear, comparison, or self-doubt…
it makes sense that peace feels far away.

But you can gently guide it back.

Not by forcing yourself to “think better,”
but by reminding yourself what is true.

You are not your anxious moment.
You are not your worst thought.
You are not defined by how today feels.

You are held.
You are known.
You are cared for—right here, in this moment.

So when your thoughts start to spiral, come back to this:

“I don’t have to believe everything I feel.
I can choose where my mind rests.”

And little by little…
peace begins to return.
